Veronica Leon is a Venezuelan producer raised in Caracas and based in Los Angeles, CA. She is the co-founder and co-owner of Agüita.
Her career began in 2012 as assistant and apprentice of film producer Elizabeth Avellán (Sin City, Grindhouse, Spy Kids franchise) in Austin, TX.
In 2016, she produced her first feature film, Infinity Baby, starring Kieran Culkin. The film premiered at SXSW and was bought by Amazon Studios.
In 2018, she was hired as head of production at Zoe Saldana’s media company BESE. One of seven employees who launched the company, she also served as creative producer/director and photographer.
In 2019, she produced a social campaign for Lyft under the acclaimed ‘America is an Idea’ by Even/Odd Films.
In early 2020, she EP’d a campaign for Target focused on the voices changing the American landscape during the COVID-19 pandemic. She oversaw the creative development, production and delivery of an original branded doc series, multiple written articles and a variety of sponsored social assets.
In the summer of 2020, she produced the Billboard x Honda Stage summer series featuring artists Sech, Orville Peck, Chloe x Halle, Snoh Aalegra, and Cordae.
In the fall of 2020, she founded her own production company, Agüita, alongside her producing partner. Under Agüita, she has worked with artist such as J Balvin, Rauw Alejandro and Flying Lotus.
